He made a film debut from SHOCHIKU in 1965, and took an active part in youth line. He won fame with the famous TV superhero, Kamen Rider (Masked Rider) in 1971.
He was selected for the leading actor in the Hollywood film, Sword Kill (Ghost Warrior) in 1984, and became a member of Screen Actors Guild for the first time by the Japanese.
He is also well known as a martial artist who plays ‘ZAN’ and is well versed in a lot of martial arts. Moreover, he is a member of NPO volunteer group. He has gone to the trouble spot and the refugee camp in the world, to help people by supporting operation over many years.
In 2005, he released an album CD, ‘Aikoso Subete Gassyou,’ for the 40th anniversary of his activities in the entertainment world. He also wrote many books, like that, he has been acting aggressively in various fields.
